About

Steeped in tradition, Pasticceria Marchesi is one of Milan's oldest and finest pastry shops.

Marchesi 1824 is considered a benchmark for the quality of its fresh patisserie, its signature chocolates and its classic Milanese Panettone. The story of Pasticceria Marchesi is one of tradition and innovation coexisting harmoniously.

Imagine yourself in the center of Milan, in a refined 18th-century structure. More specifically, at 11/a, Via Santa Maria. The Marchesi family-run pastry shop first opened its doors here in 1824, and with perseverance and hard work, it gained a reputation for producing handcrafted confections that were increasingly sought after.

Time travel to the early 1900s. The proprietor, Angelo Marchesi, started off by offering freshly made pastries, cakes, biscuits, and sweets in addition to morning coffee, evening cocktails, and other refreshments. Now, Pasticceria Marchesi was not only a superb pastry shop but also a quaint café that was quickly rising to prominence in Milan.
